Cupping therapy is a Traditional Chinese medicine treatment form, by which local suction is created on the skin. It mobilises blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is usually created using heat (fire) or mechanical device (hand pump). There are two kinds of cupping, dry cupping and wet cupping (" bleeding cupping "). Acme Acu  mainly offers dry cupping therapy. The low air pressure which is required is created by heating the air inside the cup with an open flame, then placing the cup against the skin. As the air inside the cup cools, it contracts and draws the skin slightly inside. Thus it mobilises blood flow in order to promote healing.
